Flolo is Junior Queen at Finals Rodeo


     Hailey eighth-grade student Emma Elaine Flolo, 13, won the title of Junior Queen during the Intermountain Professional Rodeo Association (ImPRA) Finals Rodeo staged last weekend at Hailey Rodeo Arena.

     The daughter of Jack and Julie Flolo of Hailey added the title to the honor of 2013 Lincoln County Junior Queen she earned at this year’s Lincoln County Fair and Rodeo. Emma also won Photogenics, Poise and Personality and Speech in the Junior Queen category.

     Overall high-point winner at the Finals Rodeo was Senior Queen winner Mickenlie Baxter, 19, the daughter of LeRoy and Vicki Baxter of Hansen. She won a saddle from the Sawtooth Rangers Riding Club. Teen Queen was Zoie Pierce, 14, a daughter of Jim and Karen Pierce of Jerome. PeeWee Queen was Brilee Hirschi, 8, of St. Anthony, the daughter of Taelon and Melissa Hirschi.

     Contest organizer Michelle Bobbitt of the Sawtooth Rangers gave a big shout-out to the following people and sponsors who made the contest a success:

     Casey McGehee at Hayseed Photography, Smoky Mountain Pizzeria & Grill, Vivian Bobbitt, Bill Bobbitt, Lizzy Cameron, Hailey Atkinsons’ Floral Department, KECH/KSKI, The Shoe & Tack Shop in Jerome, Reed Larsen, Harold Boggs, Cami Pratt and all the parents.

     Here are prize details:

     · Outgoing Senior Queen Hunter Rackham,17, a rising senior in Rigby, is the daughter of Terry and Amy Rackham of Menan received a bouquet of flowers from the ImPRA. In Aug. 2012, she was crowned Miss ImPRA Queen. And during July 2013 at Rock Springs, Wyo., Hunter compiled 694.5 points to win the queen title of the 65th annual National High School Rodeo Association (NHSRA) national finals.

     · Congeniality: Emma Flolo won necklace and earrings from Wood River Bookkeeping, LLC.

     · Photogenics winners: Winning picture frames from Copy & Print were Senior Queen Mickenlie Baxter, Junior Queen Emma Flolo, Teen Queen Zoie Pierce and PeeWee Queen Brilee Hirschi.

     · Poise and Personality: Winning make-up brush kits from Atkinsons’ Markets were Senior Queen Mickenlie Baxter, Junior Queen Emma Flolo, Teen Queen Zoie Pierce and PeeWee Queen Brilee Hirschi.

     · Speech: Winning make-up brush kits from Atkinsons’ Markets were Senior Queen Mickenlie Baxter, Junior Queen Emma Flolo, Teen Queen Zoie Pierce and PeeWee Queen Brilee Hirschi.

     · Horsemanship: Winning saddle blankets were Senior Queen Mickenlie Baxter, Junior Queen first runner-up Kiffin Finn, Teen Queen Zoie Pierce and PeeWee Queen Brilee Hirschi. Donating the blankets were Ryan’s Mountain Rentals, Audio Innovations, B&G Dirtworks and Valley Auto Body.

     · New Senior Queen Mickenlie Baxter won a dozen roses from Valley Maintenance & Restoration, belt buckle from Sun Valley Transfer and Storage, sashe from Classic Drivers, rhinestone earrings from Professional Radiant Systems, gift certificate from Crystal Carpenter, saddle earrings from Lazy H Spear Appaloosas, and splint and skid boots from The Shoe & Tack Store.

     · New Teen Queen Zoie Pierce won a dozen roses from Valley Maintenance & Restoration, belt buckle from Webb’s Landscaping, sashe from Classic Drivers, rhinestone earrings from Professional Radiant Systems, gift certificate from Crystal Carpenter, prancing horse earrings from Lazy H Spear Appaloosasm, and King Ropes rope from Wood River Bookkeeping.

     · New Junior Queen Emma Flolo won a dozen roses from River Sage Stables, belt buckle from Branching Out, sashe from Classic Drivers, rhinestone earrings from Professional Radiant Systems, gift certificate from Crystal Carpenter, rearing horse earrings from Lazy H Spear Appaloosas and splint, and bucket with grooming items from Wood River Bookkeeping.

     · Junior Queen first runner-up Kiffin Finn won hat earrings from Lazy H Spear Appaloosas, turquoise bracelet from Wood River Bookkeeping, gift certificate from Crystal Carpenter, and necklace and earrings from Lazy H Spear Appaloosas. Kiffin, 11, is a daughter of Jason and Tasha Finn of Rigby.

     · New PeeWee Queen Brilee Hirschi won a dozen roses from River Sage Stables, belt buckle from Clearwater Power Equipment, sashe from Classic Drivers, rhinestone earrings from Professional Radiant Systems, beaded necklace from Crystal Carpenter, boot earrings from Lazy H Spear Appaloosas, and fleece blanket from Wood River Bookkeeping.
