After 11 years of creating international exhibitions in Ketchum and Sun Valley, and participating in art fairs throughout the United States and Canada, Gallery DeNovo will host a closing reception for its Grand Finale Celebration for Gallery Walk on Friday, Aug. 30, from 5-8 p.m.
The closing exhibition, “Transitions: Gallery DeNovo Retrospective and Final Exhibition,” will take place in the upstairs and main-floor galleries, and will include works from nearly every artist who has been represented by the gallery for the past 11 years. Gallery DeNovo has featured more than 50 artists from 13 countries. In addition to the many different styles of international work on exhibition, the emphasis will be on the growth and change of each artist’s career in the last 11 years.
Husband-and-wife team Michael Carpenter and Robin Reiners moved to Sun Valley from Seattle 12 years ago, looking for a healthier lifestyle and a community that embraced art. Reiners, gallery director and owner, will transition from Gallery DeNovo to launch DeNovo Art Consulting in San Francisco.
“Although this decision has been a challenging one, it is not goodbye,” Reiners said. “We’ve met so many incredible people, clients, artists and active community members. Many will remain friends with us for the rest of our lives. We created a lifestyle that we loved and have been given so many gifts in return— our experience was truly priceless.”
Gallery DeNovo will continue to do exhibitions around the valley, including photographs of the Wagon Days Parade 2007 by internationally recognized photographer Phillip Tsiaras at US Bank in Ketchum and at Zenergy Spa in Ketchum. Also on display will be works by Melissa Herrington, Yehouda Chaki and Cynthia Fusillo.
