Local qualifiers take aim on state rodeo finals

McReynolds, Bennett nail down season titles

Caldwell’s Kortney McReynolds, riding for Gooding, and Brogan Bennett of Gooding maintained their season-long dominance of the 5th District High School circuit May 25 at the end of the district finals two-day rodeo in Shoshone.

McReynolds (332 points) amassed 52 more points on the final weekend to earn a 66-point win over Cassie Bahe of Gooding (266) in the girls’ all-around season standings. Bennett (245) collected 47 more points to finish off a 59-point victory over Wyatt Williams of Gooding (186) in the boys’ all-around.
