Ketchum-native-turned-nationally-renowned-dancer Kaley Pruitt will perform in three spots around town during Gallery Walk on Saturday, May 25.
Pruitt grew up dancing in the Wood River Valley with Footlight Dance Centre and Sun Valley Ballet. She now resides in New York pursuing dance and choreography as a career.
Thanks to the Ketchum Arts Commission, Pruitt has been invited to perform three, free, solo dances starting at 5:15 p.m. at the Sun Valley Center for the Arts. She will appear at Friesen Gallery at 6:15 p.m. and Ochi Gallery at 7:15 p.m.
Her performance will include interactive pieces in response to each of the gallery’s exhibitions.
Gallery Walk, sponsored by the Sun Valley Gallery Association, will take place Saturday from 5-8 p.m. For those who prefer having a leader to touring solo, Sun Valley Gallery Association representative Wendy Jaquet will meet guests at the Sun Valley Recreation Center, by the ice rink, at 5 p.m. to catch the 5:10 p.m. bus. There is no charge for the tour. For more information on Pruitt, visit www.kaleypruitt.wordpress.com.
