Vote for Baker

I am writing in support of Kathy Baker for Blaine County School District board of trustees. I have known Kathy for over 13 years.

I have the utmost respect for Kathy. She is an honest, straightforward and forthright person. Kathy is a strong woman and she cares about our children. She cares about their education, and the quality of that education. She has been actively involved with our school district and is currently co-president of the Hailey Elementary PTA. She regularly attends school board meetings in order to be an informed parent.

If you will recall when the new math curriculum was selected, Kathy was instrumental in ensuring that the rest of us parents were informed about this significant change through presentations about these new concepts. The entire process emphasized the importance of community involvement in our school system. Kathy is just the person to open that communication and enhance the function of the school board. Kathy is not only an informed and caring parent, but she has also the business experience to enhance the quality of our school board.

To state it simply, Kathy has the ability, and desire, to stand up for what is best for our children in the public school system. I whole-heartedly request you vote for Kathy Baker on May 21 for the Blaine County School Board, District 2. If you live in Woodside, out Croy Canyon on the south side of the road, or in the county on the west side of the highway, you are in District 2.

Every vote counts, so please vote.
