WRHS state track qualifiers


Here are the Wood River High School qualifiers for the State 4A track and field meet today, Friday and Saturday, May 18 at Eagle High School. One qualifier was inadvertently omitted from Wednesday’s published list. Here is the complete list for Wood River:

 

Boys (4 boys in 6 events)

     Ian Keys (senior) 100m, 200m

     Chase England (senior) 1600m, 3200m

     Alexis Gonzalez (sophomore) 800m, 1600m, 3200m

     Taylor Douthit (sophomore) discus

 

State notes—Ian Keys has the fastest qualifying marks of all of this year’s state short sprint contenders, in each classification, at 10.8 seconds in 100m dash and 22.07 in the 200m dash.

 

Girls (5 girls in 5 events)

     Nicole Pratt (senior) 300m intermediate hurdles

     Haley Montgomery (junior) 800m, 3200m

     Janel Passey (junior) 1600m

     Kenya Schott (sophomore) 800m

     Sara Lichtenberg (freshman) high jump

 

State notes—Haley Montgomery has the third-fastest qualifying time in the 800m; and Sara Lichtenberg has the fourth-best high jump coming in.
