Bike path needs repairs

    I want to express my support for the bike path two-year levy that we will be voting on Tuesday, May 21, at our normal polling locations.
   I am supporting the bike path levy because I think it really needs repairing. So many people use the path that I’m surprised that we have been able to keep it in repair with little jobs here and there. It really is a safety issue now and needs more work than a re-seal in various locations up and down the path. Now that we have officially been designated a Nordic “Olympic training site,” we need to make sure the athletes have a smooth bike path to roller-ski on. I know from personal experience that the bike path is dangerous for roller-skiing. I avoid huge sections of the path just so I don’t go down in a large crack!
   Lastly, I believe the path is a very important link between all of our communities for commuting, for events, and for just plain fun.
