Vote in favor of levy

    The Wood River Trail is an important and much-loved part of our community. Enjoyed year-round by joggers, dog walkers, bikers, strollers and skiers, the trail provides safe and healthy transportation and recreation for all ages and is a benefit for residents as well as an attraction for visitors.
   Built 30 years ago, the trail is showing signs of wear and tear. The BCRD, charged with maintaining the trail, is asking the community for a two-year levy to cover the costs of re-paving and re-constructing the trail from Bellevue to Hulen Meadows—ensuring another 30 years of life for the trail.
   In our neighborhood (Warm Springs) as in many others, the trail is the only safe way for kids to bike to school or town and a welcome alternative to busy 30 mph traffic for everyone.
   Don’t take this valuable community resource for granted. Please show your support for the Wood River Trail—and safe, healthy, carefree recreation and transportation by voting in favor of the levy on May 21.
