Vote for Baker for school board

Kathy Baker is a hard-working mom and school volunteer who sees a need to serve on the Blaine Co. School Board. She feels that there hasn’t been enough oversight on contracts and the district budget. I agree.
With the McKinstry debacle costing the School District hundreds of thousands of dollars each month in legal fees, the need for more careful stewardship is apparent. Students in Blaine County have benefited from taxpayers’ willingness to pay more to support our schools. It’s incumbent upon the school board to make sure the money is well spent. Kathy Baker is a willing researcher and problem-solver.
I’m supporting Baker because she listens, is thoughtful, and will dig until her questions are appropriately answered. We need her on the board because, if the BCSD doesn’t spend taxpayers’ money well, there could come a day when the voters say “Enough,” and vote down the next levy.
Please vote in the May 21 election. Your vote can make a difference.
