John M. Neely, 68, passed away May 3, 2013, at the Lincoln County Care Center in Shoshone. John was born Jan. 31, 1945, in Washington, D.C.
John was preceded in death by his father Robert Benton Neely and his mother is Posey Neely of Hailey, Idaho.
John went to various schools on military bases throughout the United States and Europe. He lived in Washington, D.C.; West Point, N.Y; Ft. Benning, Ga.; Ft. Bragg, N.C.; Stuttgart, Germany; Saudi Arabia; and MacDill Air Force Base, in Tampa, Fla.
John was the owner of the Burger Grill in Ketchum and a ski instructor. He enjoyed short-wave radio communications and was involved at the Wood River Radio Club of Southern Idaho.
Services for John will be announced at a later date.
John is survived by his mother Posey Neely, who lives at Blaine Manor, and brother Tom Neely of Sun Valley. He was preceded in death by his father, Brig. Gen. Robert B. Neely.
