Say Y-E-S to VBS

Religious expression, creative activity and outdoor recreation merge during Vacation Bible schools in the valley this summer.
Presbyterian Church of the Big Wood, St. Thomas Episcopal Church/Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church and Hailey’s Calvary Bible Church all have faith-based camp options this summer.

Experience “SonWest”
Hailey’s Calvary Bible Church invites kids to “SonWest Roundup” Vacation Bible School in June.
Kids ages four years through sixth grade are welcome. Camp runs daily, June 24-28, from 8:45 a.m. to noon. Parents are invited Thursday, June 27 at 6 p.m. for an evening barbecue and kids’ program.
Suggested donation is $15 per child or $40 for a family of three or more. To reserve your child’s space at VBS, register on-line calvarybiblewr.org/vbs by June 11.

Big Wood’s “Fun Fair”
Ketchum’s Presbyterian Church of the Big Wood is challenging kids to discover God’s love everywhere at this year’s vacation Bible school.
This year’s theme is “Everywhere Fun Fair,” and takes children to a global celebration with the look and feel of a world’s fair.
The fun begins every morning at 8:45 a.m. and goes until noon, from Monday, July 29 through Friday, Aug. 2. Cost is $15 per child or $35 per family. Afternoon care is available for an additional fee.
The week will be capped off with a family celebration Aug. 2. To register, contact Carrie Kotara at 622-0548 or email her at carriek@pcbw.org.

Team up for a good time
Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church and St. Thomas Episcopal Church are again co-hosting a Vacation Bible School at Our Lady of the Snows in Ketchum.
The two churches are running a program for kids from pre-school through the fifth grade.
This year’s theme is “Kingdom Rock,” an epic adventure where kids stand strong for God. Interactive Bible stories, team-building games, awesome music and tasty treats are activities that touch the kids’ hearts and show them that God’s power and love are no fairy tale.
Bible school runs from 9 a.m. to noon, from Monday through Friday, July 8-12. The cost is $75 per child.
Register with Helen Morgus 726-5349, ext. 21 or hmorgus@stthomassunvalley.org.
