Students at varying levels of ability can partake of a range of private lessons and ensemble coaching for voice, strings, woodwinds, piano, brass and percussion.
Workshops were conceived as a program for Blaine County music students in 1998. They have grown from 35 students in their first year 16 years ago to more than 200 students now.
All classes are taught by acclaimed musicians from the Sun Valley Summer Symphony orchestra and Sun Valley Summer Symphony School of Music faculty.
An Advanced Chamber Music Program, Opera Workshops and Choral Scholars Program begin Saturday, Aug. 3 and continue through Saturday, Aug. 10.
Classes include intermediate and advanced orchestras with chamber ensembles, techniques class, sectionals and orchestral rehearsals.
Others are beginning or prelude strings, woodwind, brass and percussion with master classes, voice, piano technique, master class and theory.
Applications are available now with a deadline of May 1. Notifications of acceptance are given by late May. Registration fee is $90 and includes a special concert polo shirt.
