Come and play at SV Resort

Open to the public, guests

    This summer, Sun Valley Resort offers options for budding athletes and those who enjoy recreation, including ice skating, golf and tennis.
    All summer programs are open to the general public as well as resort guests.
    The PlaySchool facility is a headquarters for children aged three months to five years. Besides a playground, kids have access to supervised activities such as ice skating lessons, golf on the Sawtooth Putting Course and Driving Range, tennis drills, swimming, paddle boating, bowling, crafts and field games.
    On Fridays, kids can hop on a hay wagon for a ride and enjoy a picnic.
    PlaySchool programs run from two-hour, half day to full-day lengths. Costs range from $16 for the wagon ride to $105 for all-day programs. Call 622-2288 for PlaySchool details.


For the older set
    Kids six-and-up can join the Young Summer Day Camp, a weekly program of activities.
    All-day sessions include lunch and activities like volleyball, ice skating lessons, golf on Sawtooth Putting Course, tennis, swimming, paddle boating, bowling, crafts, field games and gondola rides on Bald Mountain.
    Half-day and two-hour camps also are available.
    Horseback riding is offered for kids at least eight years old and 52 inches tall.
    Costs range from $16 for a hayride picnic or horseback ride, to $105 for a full-day camp. Call 622-2135 for more details.
