Four games coming up April 7

Kicking off four games on Sunday, April 7 is the B League consolation game at 4 p.m. matching the Blues and Flyers. The B League championship game at 5:15 p.m. features the Wild and Racers.

The B+ consolation game at 6:30 p.m. matches the No. 6-seeded Flounders (6-10-2) and No. 3 Hutch’s Bad Dogs (8-7-2). And the B+ championship game at 7:45 p.m. will pit the defending league champs and top-seeded Aardvarks (10-3-3) against the red hot No. 5-seeded Rockets (7-6-3).

Flounders had the biggest night March 31 with two wins vaulting them into the B+ consolation game. First of all, Jim Slanetz and Chris Salvatierra each scored twice in the 4-1 Flounders win over No. 4 Sharks (7-10-0).

Later Sunday, Flounders got two more goals from Salvatierra plus single goals by Slanetz, John Baker and Terry Crawford in a 5-2 trouncing of No. 2 Vipers (9-8-0). Jini Griffith, Trista Johnson and Sean Murphy added Flounders assists. Jim Laski and John Ellison Jr. had Vipers goals.

Rockets earned their championship game assignment against Aardvarks with an 11-4 victory over Hutch’s Bad Dogs.

Three players boasted three-goal hat tricks for Rockets—Todd Avison, Tim Jeneson and Bryan Speth. Ned Burns and Mark Johnson (2 assists) also scored for the winners, with assists going to Avison, Jeneson, Gretel Kearney and Speth.
