Two familiar faces

With fresh music to share

    Two valley regulars are coming back to Ketchum’s Whiskey Jacques’ in the coming days to share new albums.
   First up, on Thursday, March 21, is Idaho-born, multi-instrument-playing. L.A.-based singer-songwriter Jeff Crosby and The Refugee’s “Silent Conversations.”
   The music deals with the bittersweet emotions of leaving home and family for the first time and finding new appreciation for what you left behind, a reflection of his move away from his hometown of Donnelly in the Gem State.
   “Silent Conversations” is available digitally on iTunes, Amazon and emusic, and physically, exclusively at www.cosmosexschool.com.
   On Tuesday, March 26, at Whiskey Jacques’, Donavon Frankenreiter will perform live with Rayland Baxter and Eric Tollefson, bringing new tunes with his fifth and most recent release, “Start Livin’.”
   This follow-up to 2010’s “Glow,” “Start Livin’” is a nine-track selection of simple, sweet, folk-infused songs that showcase Frankenreiter’s rich, honey-thick vocals and masterful guitar work.
   Tickets are $18 in advance, $22 at the door.
