Woman treated, released after crash

Sheriff says accident still under investigation

A 43-year-old Hailey woman was treated and released at St. Luke’s Wood River following a mid-afternoon two-vehicle accident Sunday at the intersection of state Highway 75 and Elkhorn Road.

Blaine County Sheriff Gene Ramsey said Kristine Brook suffered a “minor shoulder injury.” She was transported to the hospital by Ketchum Fire Department ambulance.

Ramsey said the accident occurred around 2:25 p.m. when Brook, westbound on Elkhorn Road in a blue 1994 Toyota pickup, attempted to turn onto the highway and was struck by a northbound green 1998 Ford Windstar van driven by Tania Raff, 53, of Hailey.

The sheriff said both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

No citations had been issued as of Monday. Ramsey said the cause of the accident was still being investigated.
