Film Festival was a huge success

Kudos to Teddy Grennan, Candice Pate, Izze Rumpp, Stephanie Carlson, Carol Waller, Laura Mehlhaff, Annette Farnham, Jessica Walcott, Heather LaMonica Deckard, Ellen Gillespie, Randi McEntee, the Sun Valley Film Festival board, patrons, sponsors and volunteers, and the many others who were involved with the smashing success of the 2013 Sun Valley Film Festival.

From Academy Award-winning screenwriter Stephen Gaghan’s engaging Coffee Talk and the late-night parties, to the respectable lineup of films and creative programming (Works-in-Progress screenings, SVFF Freebies and Best of the Fest, etc.), Take Two of the Sun Valley Film Festival hit it out of the park. What a celebration of the art of filmmaking, and what a perfect place for such a film festival.

It was thrilling to see throngs of people lining up outside the theaters all over the valley to catch a flick. Those folks then walked into local restaurants and bars to dine and unwind. They shopped locally and stayed in our local hotels and rentals; they certainly added a welcome shot of adrenaline to our local economy.

Thank goodness for creative people working on behalf of the community! If you didn't make it to the films or any of the events, mark your calendars for next year. It's one hell of a good time.
