Jokers Have Big Day On Baldy

By WILLY COOK

Apple’s Bar and Grill patrons and ownership celebrated the restaurant’s 25th anniversary weekend on Sunday by whooping it up in Warm Springs and then concluding the revelry with a “poker run” on Bald Mountain. Above, Janet Appleton, left, and Judy Locke were the registrating dealers of the event, which included 16 four-person teams. Clues led the skiers to locations all over Baldy where cards were drawn and poker hands were made. The best hand went to the team “South of the Dump,” composed of Phillip Uhrig, Anthony Anderson and Brian and Brenda Blackwell, who won with a full house. The fun affair benefited the Bald Mountain Rescue Fund. Express photo by Willy Cook
