Teams on the board for Town Series

Bunch of zeros in second week


     Team racing kicked into gear Wednesday on Baldy’s Cozy run for the 22nd annual Sun Valley Town Series of alpine ski races. Nine of the 34 teams put up desirable 0.00 scores before the group adjourned to Mahoney’s in Bellevue for a post-race party.

     Posting 0.00 (with fastest single-run racer) were Scott USA (John Zuck), The Sofa Kings (Lenny Joseph), Casino Dancing Bears (Neil Jessen), Corduroy is for Pants: PK’s (Tyler Chandler), Baldy and the Bar Wenches (Laura Speck), Shot Skis (Brett Jacobson), Idaho Bioscience (Kirsten Terra), Loon Lakes (Mark Winkler) and 2 Fast 2 Furious (Jonna Mendes).

     Miles Fink-Debray of Arc Park recorded the best single-run time at 24.68 seconds followed closely by Nate Schwing of the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation (SVSEF) 25.04. Rounding out the top 15:

     3—Hunter Storey (The Hos from Sturtos) 25.96. 4—Tyler Chandler (PK’s) 26.57. 5—Wes Powell (Apple’s) 26.58. 6—Biche Rudigoz (Michel’s Christi) 26.82. 7—Brett Jacobson (Shot Skis) 27.16. 8—Jim Grossman (Ski Tek) 27.21. 9—Cam Fraser (Apple’s) 27.35. 10—John Campbell (All 4 All) 27.37. 11—Jonna Mendes (2 Fast 2 Furious) 27.47. 12—John Lee (Glow Pokes) 27.90. 13—Lily Fink-Debray (Arc Park) 27.99. 14—Sarah Mazzola (SVSEF) 28.02. 14—Jan Hegewald (Michel’s Christi) 28.02.

     Clocking the “rabbit time” of 121 racers was Julie Bell, 33.99 seconds.
