Ski the Rails/Hailey Downtown Party: Join the Blaine County Recreation District for a cross-country ski tour along the Wood River Trail. Grab your family, friends, visitors and even pets and learn about the history of the famous Wood River Trail. Event starts at 10 a.m. at Serenade Lane in Ketchum and ends at the Sun Valley Brewery in downtown Hailey.
Après Wine Tasting: Frenchman’s Gulch Winery in Ketchum will hold a wine tasting from 3-6 p.m., providing meat and cheese plates as well as music and red wine.
Galena and Trails Winter Benefit: The 17th annual Galena and the Trails Winter Benefit will kick off the Nordic Festival at 5:30 p.m. at the Limelight Room at the Sun Valley Inn. Proceeds benefit the Galena Lodge and trails system.

Ski for Air Service Day: Sun Valley Resort will offer $40 full-day lift tickets and half off on all demos and rentals, with proceeds going to the Fly Sun Valley Alliance. Skiing starts at 9 a.m.; tickets must be purchased in advance from local ski shops. Après ski party starts at 3 p.m.
Skin It To Win It Ski & Snowboard Race: This ski and snowboard race involves skinning up Forbidden Fruit on Dollar Mountain and then skiing down Otto’s Run. Men, women and teams will compete to see how many laps they can complete in three hours. Fundraiser starts at 10 a.m. and benefits the Sawtooth National Forest Avalanche Center. Donations of $25 requested.

Twilight Ski and Dinner: This annual dinner and ski at Galena Lodge starts at 6 p.m. Reservations are required to join Don, Erin and the rest of the Galena staff for a night of skiing.

AXCS National Masters Prologue: This 3.3 km skate ski event is an unscored, one-lap race on the same course as the 10 km event for Thursday. Check-in starts at 8 a.m. at Sun Valley Nordic; race begins at 10 a.m. Race has an interval start and has men’s and women’s divisions.
Sun Valley Alpine & Nordic Ski Hall of Fame induction: The Ketchum-Sun Valley Historical Society will induct six skiers into the Sun Valley Ski Hall of Fame at 4 p.m. at the nexStage Theatre in Ketchum. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling 726-8118.
Perspectives on Nordic Skiing: A panel moderated by Rick Kapala, Nordic director for the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation. Panel starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Community Library in Ketchum.

AXCS National Masters 10 km CL: The official scored classic event for the 2013 AXCS National Masters Championships. The race will have a mass start divided by age classes. Check-in starts at 8 a.m. at Sun Valley Nordic; races start at 10 a.m. To register, visit www.bouldermountaintour.com.
Downtown Jam and NordicTownUSA Sprints: This event will celebrate some of the most elite athletes in the sport in a downtown circular course. Kids races and music as well as refreshments will be offered next to the Ketchum Post Office. Third annual XC Party at Perry’s: Join Perry’s Restaurant after the Nordic sprints. Fifteen percent of proceeds will go to Galena Lodge and the North Valley trails. Event starts at 5 p.m. and goes until 8 p.m.

2013 Boulder Mountain Tour Expo: Entrants in the Boulder Mountain Tour will pick up race bibs, clothing bags and timing chips along with race information and souvenirs at the expo from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Wood River Y in Ketchum.

2013 Boulder Mountain Tour: One of America’s longest-running and most-respected cross-country ski races, the Boulder Mountain Tour is the Wood River Valley’s winter treasure. Drawing a field from across the country, and across the spectrum of abilities, the Tour welcomes all. The race traverses the spectacular Boulder Mountains for 32 kilometers of breathtaking beauty and world-class competition. It has some of the finest skiing to be found anywhere on the planet combined with warm hospitality and first-rate race organization. Race starts at Senate Meadows at 10 a.m.
2013 Half Boulder 15 km: The Half Boulder is an untimed participation event and no age class awards will be given. Each participant will receive the Boulder Mountain Tour souvenirs and clothing bag and will be eligible for raffle prize drawings at the awards ceremony. Race starts at noon at Baker Creek, the halfway point of the Boulder Mountain Tour course.
