Ideal weather greeted over 200 freestyle skiers Thursday through Sunday on Baldy and Dollar during the Sun Valley Freestyle Spectacular presented by the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation’s Freestyle Ski Team.

Dual moguls winners Sunday among 71 on Baldy’s Race Arena were Veronica Paulsen of Park City, Utah over former SVSEF racer Aunika Phillips, also of Park City, and Gabriel Cohen of Wasatch (Utah). Renee Shapiro (6th women) and RJ Bracken (5th men) were the leading SVSEF finishers.

Sunday’s single moguls event had Paulsen and Park City’s Ryan Reilly on top, Shapiro fifth and Bracken fourth. In Saturday’s moguls won by former SVSEF racer Austin Bourret and Veronica Paulsen there were 90 competitors. Sun Valley’s Morgan Shaver, who comes here from Pocatello, had a third in single moguls.

Marin Hamill and Justin Mayers of Park City were Friday’s halfpipe winners in a field of 37 on Dollar. Sun Valley’s men went 2-3-4-5 overall in the second halfpipe with Jacob Beebe of Bend, Ore., River Kelly, Trevor Hattabaugh of Boise and Perry Boyle.

Sun Valley organizers were proud of the 600-foot-long pipe, one of the longest out there.

Top slopestylers among 53 Thursday on Dollar were Ashton Glass of Park City, Mitchell Reckinger of Issaquah, Wash. and Ross Peck.
