Two people transported following crash south of Timmerman

Accident remains under investigation by Idaho State Police

A 30-year-old Hailey woman and her 13-year-old son were transported to St. Luke’s Wood River following a single-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon on state Highway 75 about three miles south of Timmerman Junction.

Idaho State Police identified the woman as Stephanie Ashby.

“My understanding is they checked them out, there was nothing serious so they were released,” said ISP Lt. Kevin Haight.

The accident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. Haight said Ashby was southbound in a Ford Taurus when she lost control of the vehicle and it left the roadway.

The accident remained under investigation Thursday. Haight said roads were not slick at the time of the accident and that “road conditions were not a factor.”

The Blaine County Sheriff’s Office reported that air bags inflated when the crash occurred, likely preventing more serious injuries.
