Mini World Cup kicks off for kids

With Dollar slalom


The Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation’s “C Home” Team staged its first Mini World Cup race of the 2013 winter ski race season Sunday, Jan. 6 on Dollar Mountain.

Sixty-two skiers took part in the two-run event. Here are the top 10 skiers for boys and girls with their best times out of two runs listed in seconds and hundredths:

  • Boys: 1—Fletcher Stumph 37.11. 2—Josh Blackburn 37.94. 3—Buey Grossman 38.40. 4—Shaw Dean 39.61. 5—Charlie Snyder 39.84. 6—Nathan Gowe 40.00. 7—William Everitt 40.14. 8—Alex Daves 40.58. 9—Ridley Lindstrom 41.71. 10—Beck Ritzel 43.08
  • Girls: 1—Marit Kaiser 38.86. 2—Laine Allison 41.16. 3—Sage Curtis 42.55. 4—Anhwei Kirk 43.65. 5—Anja Jensen 44.50. 6—Hannah Ferris 44.66. 7—Anja Schweiger 44.96. 8—Ali Rathfon 45.17. 9—Sidney Davis 45.70. 10—Lola Street 47.58.

The Mini World Cup series continues Jan. 27 with a giant slalom on Baldy and features a speed racing weekend on Dollar Mountain Feb. 9-10 with super giant slalom on Saturday and downhill Sunday. The season-ending skills test is scheduled for March 3 at Elkhorn.
