Men’s 3-on-3 hoops in Hailey this weekend

Benefit for WRHS boys’ hoops

Wood River High School head boys’ basketball coach Andy Miles has announced plans for the inaugural Wood River High Men’s 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 28-29 in the Hailey high school gym.

The two-day tournament for players 18 and over will generate funds for equipment and summer camps for WRHS boys’ basketball. Miles said, “It’s a good way to get the community involved with our program.”

Entry fee is $60 per team. Each 3-player team (up to 4 players are allowed per team) is guaranteed four games and a single-elimination tournament game. Team entry forms must be completed and the fees paid by Friday, Dec. 28, at 5:30 p.m.

The pool-play portion of the tournament begins Friday, Dec. 28, at 6 p.m. and carries into Saturday, with action that day starting at 9 a.m. The gym is open one hour prior to the tourney starting times. Each game is on a half-size court.

Spectators are welcome, but will be charged $1 for adults (kids 12 and under free). Concessions will be sold.

For an entry form, contact Miles (720-1314) at amiles05@gmail.com or Chris Koch at CKoch@blaineschools.org.
