2012-13 Local Nordic and Junior Team Schedule


For the 2012-13 ski racing season. Intermountain Division qualifying races for Junior Nationals are denoted with asterisks (*). Age classes are OJ (Older Junior) ages 18-19; J1 ages 16-17; J2 ages 14-15; J3 ages 12-13; J4 ages 10-11; J5 ages 8-9; and J6 ages 6-7. ASMS refers to 2012 American Ski Marathon Series. NOTES—The schedule for the 2013 U.S. Cross Country Championships (short distance) at Black Mountain at Soldier Hollow, Utah: On Wednesday, Jan. 2, classic 1.4-kilometer (women and men) sprint qualifications and final heats; on Friday, Jan. 4, individual start freestyle men’s 15k/women’s 10k; on Sunday, Jan. 6, mass start classic 20k (women) and 30k (men); on Tuesday, Jan. 8, freestyle 1.4k (women and men) sprint qualifications and final rounds……Middlebury College in Vermont is hosting the March 6-9 NCAA Ski Championships at Snow Bowl (alpine) and Jake Rikert Ski Touring Center (Nordic). It is the fifth time Middlebury has hosted the national collegiate meet, the last time in 2001.……Here is the schedule for the 2013 USSA Cross Country Junior Nationals March 10-16 at Birch Hill Recreation Area in Fairbanks, Ak.: Monday, March 11, freestyle interval start; on Tuesday, March 12, classic relays; on Thursday, March 14, freestyle sprint qualifications and finals; on Saturday, March 16, mass start class 15k/10k/5k.
