Sun Valley has top-notch facility

I would like to say thank you to the folks at the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation (the Barn) for allowing me to bring our world-class athletes to use the incredible facility at Sun Valley. We had a very successful training camp in Sun Valley from Dec. 1-10. Though the conditions were difficult at the beginning of the camp, the weather finally cooperated with us and we managed to pull off a world-class camp at Dollar Mountain.

One thing that stuck out after my follow-up review was The Barn. I had no idea such a world-class facility was in the making at Sun Valley. Although it’s not complete, we were able to spend many hours each night training our athletes at The Barn on the ramps and tramps. This is a key factor to our programming.

Another thing that stood out was the professionalism of the coaching staff that run The Barn. This is definitely not a kiddie park where parents drop off the kids for baby sitting. The Barn is without a doubt one of the best training environments I have yet to see for development athletes. It has so much potential to be great! I truly hope the Sun Valley community supports it.

Again, I had no idea there was such a facility at Sun Valley. I honestly believe that Sun Valley is waking up and not only trying to keep up with other mountains, but leading the path to greatness. This is something that Red Bull Performance requires for its athletes. Thank you, SVSEF.

P.S.-Our results speak for themselves from the first Dew Tour following our Performance Camp and extra training at The Barn: Mark McMorris 1st (Slopestyle Snowboarding) Kaya Turski 1st (Slopestyle Skiing) Russ Henschaw 1st (Slopestyle skiing)
