Club volleyball program gears up

Open fundraising tourney Dec. 22

Want to play a little holiday coed volleyball and raise money for the high school-aged Wood River Volleyball Club (WRVBC)?

Kristyn Price Rutland, WRVBC coach and organizer, is planning the first annual “Holiday Spiketacular” to be played Saturday, Dec. 22 starting at 9 a.m. at Hailey’s Wood River High School gym.

Format is Adult Reverse Coed Fours (must have at least 2 women).

Local merchants will donate prizes, and free babysitting will be offered during the matches. All funds raised in the one-day tournament will go towards scholarship money and equipment needs for the WRVBC.

Cost is $25 per player. For more details call Rutland at 721-2437 or email her at krutland12@gmail.com.

Rutland is also accepting signups for the WRVBC high school club season that begins Sunday, Dec. 2. Contact her to register your interest.
