Social injustice needs correcting

The social justice in this country (the greatest country in the world) just plain sucks. The pay scale in the business world is so lopsided and unfair. We reward “brains” instead of work. How did the CEOs get where they are? Isn’t it on the backs of their employees? In comparison, what the employees get is a pittance.

Everyone has the same human needs and rights. Parents need a “date” night every week, money for family outings, a decent house covering their needs, good-running cars, food, clothes and vacations, and they should be able to buy their own health insurance and send their kids to college without going bankrupt, as well as be able to save for retirement.

They call what we have now capitalism and it isn’t working. What good does it do to go to the voting booth when one political party is as crooked as the other? It remains politics as usual.

God did not make everyone equal in potential. But because you have a lot of potential doesn’t make you special. In God’s eye we are all special. He said, “To he who is given much, much is expected.” He is talking about making the world a better place in which to live. He isn’t talking about “charity” to the poor. The poor should grab themselves by the bootstraps and pull themselves up. Because Jesus was poor isn’t a justification for poverty. God wants everyone to get ahead.

Our politicians (most of them, anyway) say they believe in God, but they do a very, very poor job of practicing the Golden Rule.

Honesty is still the best policy.

There is strength in numbers.
