Dorothy Babin


Dorothy Babin, age 88, a resident of Bellevue, Idaho, died Nov. 6, 2012, at Safe Haven Assisted Living Home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

She was born Jan. 21, 1924, in Long Beach, Calif., to Bernard Lester and Rosie Mock.

She married Vincent Babin on Nov. 5, 1943, in San Francisco, Calif.  They moved to Sun Valley from Redwood City, Calif., in 1974.

Surviving are her three sons, William of Australia, Michael and Tim, both of Wasilla, Alaska; three daughters, Karen Murph of San Jose, Calif.; Peggy Rodrigues of Bellevue, Idaho, and Mary McGonigal of Hailey, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her daughter Jenny.

Thank you to the wonderful angels that cared for Dorothy during her life at Safe Haven Assisted Living Home in Bellevue.

Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, and Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at St. Charles Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at the Hailey Cemetery.
