Overweight people were frightening

I was in Hailey for the Main Street Halloween Hoopla festivities and was in awe of the scary decorations and costumes. What was most terrifying to me was the percentage of overweight children (and accompanying parents) that turned out for the event. It really was noticeable.

I don’t know if a good sugar fix brings out the heavyweights or if this was a fair slice of America, but it is concerning. We have a health care crisis in this country, and from what I saw, it will be with us for a while. I challenge the chamber, parents and Main Street merchants to provide a healthy alternative for next year’s event.
