England connects with community

I have known Steve England, lieutenant with the Hailey Police Department and candidate for Blaine County sheriff, for more than 30 years. I believe he is the most qualified and best candidate in this year’s election.

Personally, Steve is honest, trustworthy, dependable, outgoing and caring. I am a single mother of two and Steve has been a positive role model and mentor to both of my boys. Many parents have commented to me on the positive influence Steve has had on their kids’ lives as well.

Steve is very community-minded with his involvement in the Advocates, Chamber of Commerce, Camp Rainbow Gold, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Blaine County Drug Coalition, just to name a few. He is always involved in community events even during non-election years.

Professionally, Steve is hard working, honest, ethical, intelligent, respected and forward thinking. He is an open communicator with great problem-solving skills and a leader in law enforcement.

I have lived in Hailey for more than 15 years. I volunteer regularly and I am involved with several community organizations. Unfortunately, I have never met the current sheriff; I don’t know where he stands on important issues or even what he has done during his 30-plus years with the department.

Please join me in electing Steve England sheriff on Nov. 6.
