McCleary shows foresight on issues

As a planning and zoning commissioner and a member of the Land Water and Wildlife Levy board, I have had the opportunity over the last several years to work with County Commissioner Angenie McCleary. Angenie’s youth and energy have been a refreshing change in business as usual. She is an exceptional listener who fairly and diligently considers issues before the commission.

Over several years of evaluation of the Mountain Overlay District, Commissioner McCleary supported keeping our hillsides free of development. She recognized early on that the hillside ordinance also protects valuable water resources and wildlife habitat. This cornerstone legislation differentiates our area from other resort areas that have not preserved their mountain vistas.
