The debate

By CHRIS MILLSPAUGH
Express Staff Writer

There was a spirited debate Tuesday night and the candidates came out swinging. It was clear that these guys didn’t care for each other as they expressed their differences. Spectators from all over the world were glued to their TV sets hoping that their man would score and win a valuable point. It was “Debate Night” in the Wood River Valley, and like most other college towns, viewers drank shots whenever someone said “jobs” or “unemployment.”  There were parties everywhere and the result was no one’s mind was changed … about the election. There were some other things on the party-goers’ minds—the real debate.

The real debate, of course, was over what to wear as a costume on Halloween night on Main Street in town. Here were some of the decisions that came down:

  • ( Clint Eastwood with an empty chair.
  • ( Honey – Boo-Boo and her whole family (group).
  • ( Doped–up Lance on a bicycle.
  • ( Smartphone with accessories.
  • ( Olympics loser—broken medal and frown.
  • ( Sheep strapped to a wolf.
  • ( Sun Valley City Council saying no to everything (group).
  • ( Big Bird being chased by Romney with an axe.
  • ( Fire and air quality—smoke blown on air.
  • ( Gas station millionaire—bucks and oil.
  • ( Fifty shades of gray—book with 50 actual shades of gray.
  • ( Loofus sponge and Sponge Bob.
  • ( Sandusky behind bars in a shower.

I hope these will help. Nice talking to you.
