Support LOT for air service

On behalf of the Fly Sun Valley Alliance, I would like to publicly commend the city councils of Hailey, Ketchum and Sun Valley and the Blaine County commissioners for their thorough review and refinement of the “Yes to Air” 1 percent local-option-tax ballot measure and the underlying joint powers agreement, and for their official actions that resulted in placing it before the voters of the three cities on the Nov. 6 ballot.
It is gratifying to be part of an effort that has united our valley on the need for a community/resort partnership to maintain and enhance our commercial air service. This program will result in better access, more business, new jobs and higher property values.
I would also like to thank others who have been generous with their time and efforts in getting us to this crucial point. They include state Rep. Wendy Jaquet, Sun Valley Co., Wood River Economic Partnership, Sustain Blaine and the Sun Valley Board of Realtors.
I encourage all residents to get informed on this critical issue by learning more at HYPERLINK "http://www.yestoair.com" www.yestoair.com. And most importantly, on Nov. 6, please vote in favor of the 1 percent LOT for air service (Hailey Ordinance 1109, Ketchum Ordinance 1097 and Sun Valley Ordinance 456). The economic vitality of our community depends on it.
