Women Dole Out $126K To Charity



Members, friends and grant recipients of the Wood River Women’s Charitable Foundation, including, from left to right, Susan Fierman, Kat Vanden Heuvel, Jennifer Davidson, Tricia Swartling, Jeanne Liston and Sharon Dohse, gathered at The Valley Club north of Hailey Thursday, Aug. 9, for the awarding of more than $126,000 to Wood River Valley nonprofits. Grants went to multiple nonprofit groups, including $25,000 to the Blaine County Drug Coalition, $40,000 for a joint project of College of Southern Idaho, The Advocates and The Hunger Coalition, $6,000 to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, $25,000 to Sun Valley Adaptive Sports and approximately $15,000 to Planned Parenthood of the Northwest.
