Tanner Davis, age 80, died on July 24, 2012, in Evanston, Ill., after a long courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Jill, and their four children and eight grandchildren. He is predeceased by their daughter Kathryn. Tanner was a kind and thoughtful man who enjoyed reading, duplicate bridge with the Wood River Bridge Group, hiking, going to the movies and traveling. He and his family have been regular visitors to the valley since 1959 and homeowners in Elkhorn since its early development. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Shelter of the Wood River Valley, 100 Croy Creek Rd., Hailey, ID 83333.
