Joseph Raymond Fischenich, 71, of Simpsonville, S.C., died Saturday, June 30, 2012.
Born in Sioux Falls, S.D., he was a son of the late Raymond and Edna Fischenich. Mr. Fischenich served in the Navy and was a self-employed CPA. He was a long-time member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Sun Valley, Idaho, and the American Legion.
Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Fischenich; three sons, David Lutz and his wife, Cindy, Ray Fischenich and his fiancé, Susan, and Brian Fischenich and his wife, Nicole; two grandchildren, Jeremy and Aaron Lutz; three sisters, Joan Gullickson and her husband, Ken, Judy Clemetson, and Mary Gibbons and her husband, Jeff; and a brother, Jim Fischenich and his wife, Debbie. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike and Tom Fischenich.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Cathedral, 521 N. Duluth Ave., Sioux Falls, S.D., followed by a service at St. Mary's Cemetery in Ellsworth, Minn.
