What a valley!

Congratulations are in order. Over the past week, a person in the Wood River Valley could have raced in the Galena Grinder, enjoyed jazz in Rotary Park, dined at any number of excellent restaurants in the valley, watched a zany-competitive community race (Ketchum Criterium), danced at Ketch'em Alive, witnessed a piece of true, old-style Americana at the Hailey Fourth of July Rodeo and fireworks, cheered on America's finest mountain bikers at Nationals (some of whom live right here in the valley), seen world-class photography at Whiskey's, boogied at the Sun Valley Shakedown and topped it all off with a breathtaking show of artistry and skill courtesy of the San Francisco Ballet at Sun Valley Pavilion.

What a week! And there are at least a dozen other events I haven't mentioned.

Congratulations to Ride Sun Valley and the Marketing Alliance, other local organizations whose efforts showcased the best of our valley, Sun Valley Co., and all of the local workers and volunteers who wore smiles on their faces and offered typical friendliness throughout the week. It was easy to be proud of our valley and the people who live here during all of the fun. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard for our benefit. If Sun Valley is dead, I hope it's this dead more often.
