Main St. scored 5 runs in the first highlighted by four straight one-out hits by Jonmarie Shaw, Sean Harrington (2 hits, HR), Emily Anderson and Joe LaManna (double, triple). Lefty's Bar & Grill 9, Firefighters 5

Unbeaten Lefty's swept its big pre-holiday doubleheader with one big inning and several clutch hits. The league leaders only managed 7 hits, four of them coming in the 7-run home third that erased a 3-1 deficit. Kenny Nelson (2 hits, 2 runs) cracked a 2-run HR in the 7-run frame for Lefty's. The Firefighters (12 hits) played excellent defense and at one point retired nine straight Lefty's batters, but Anthony Anderson (3 hits, 2 doubles, 2 runs) provided some Lefty's insurance with a two-out solo HR in the seventh. Lefty's: Wendy Speth RBI double. Firefighters: John Rathfon 3 hits (double, HR), Keith Potter 2 hits, Cody Laggis 3 hits (2 doubles) and 2 runs, Bryan Burrell 2 hits (double).
