Wagon Days call for entries now open

Entries are being accepted for inclusion in the 54th annual Ketchum Wagon Days Big Hitch Parade.

The deadline to enter is Aug. 27. There is no cost to enter.

The parade is billed as the largest non-motorized parade in the Pacific Northwest, with nearly 100 entries each year from all around the region and more than 15,000 spectators.

Prizes are given in various categories, including original and restored wagons, stagecoaches, carriages, buggies, riding clubs, floats, carts and an "open" category.

All parade participants are provided with a free picnic lunch immediately following the parade.

Entry forms are available at www.wagondays.com or by calling 720-4535.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 1.
