Cantrell pitched well in the four-inning 6-5 loss to Salmon.  Bothwell drove in two runs and scored once. Wood River then started its winning streak with a 15-0 win over Idaho Owls. Winning pitcher was Radford (3 innings, 7 K). Radford and Andrew Nelson each contributed two hits and scored twice.

Finishing pool play was an 11-7 success over Challis behind the efforts of pitcher Blake Nelson. Radford, Andrew Nelson, Cantrell and Bothwell each accounted for two hits and two runs scored.

In the single elimination championship round, Wood River opened with a 6-3 victory over Bitterroot Valley. Winning pitcher Andrew Nelson (3 innings, 7 K) also delivered at the plate with two hits including a home run.

Pitchers Cantrell (7 K) and Radford (4 k) combined for a 10-0 shutout triumph over top-seeded Florence (Mont.) in the semi-final contest. Then Cantrell (3 innings, 8 K) was the game Most Valuable Player in the 19-3 title game victory.
