Bigwood invites golfers for scrambles, leagues

Teeing off Monday

Bigwood Golf Course at Thunder Spring is putting out the welcome mat for golfers to join a busy summer schedule of scrambles and leagues at the Ketchum nine-hole course.

One special event planned for the longest days of the year and the first official week of summer is the Night Golf Tournament on Friday, June 22.

Derek Agnew, Bigwood Golf Course and Zenergy general manager, said, "We did one last year to end the season and everyone had a blast. So this season we're planning on doing at least two night golf deals."

Night Golf Tournament registration and food from Bigwood Grill starts at 7:30 p.m. followed by a putting contest at 8 p.m. and the shotgun start at 9:30 p.m. Cost is $60 per person or $30 for Bigwood pass holders.

Meanwhile, the first Bigwood golf scramble with a modified format is Monday, June 18 with a 5:30 p.m. shotgun start. It's a fun night of golf and food at a reasonable price.

Bigwood Men's Golf Association has its League Shotgun Wednesday meetings at 5 p.m. featuring a variety of competitive formats, beer and golf cart specials.
