People and Places


- Brendon Williams of Sun Valley graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Music degree in composition from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. The 2008 Wood River High School graduate joined 133 other Cornish graduates in subjects like art, dance, design and music during the May 13 ceremony at Benaroya Hall.

- Patrick Patterson and Alexandra Lindbloom of Hailey were two of 412 Northwest Nazarene University students named on the spring 2012 dean's list for earning 3.5 or higher grade-point averages at the Christian comprehensive university. Patterson, a senior, majored in kinesiology education/recreation and sports management and was a leading member of the NNU baseball team. Lindbloom, a sophomore transfer from Finlandia University, was a utility player on the NNU women's softball team.

- Patrick McMahon of Sun Valley has been named to the College of Arts and Sciences dean's list for the second semester of the 2011-12 academic year at Loyola University of Chicago in Illinois.

- Keller Gibson of Ketchum made the dean's list for the 2012 spring semester at Beloit College in Beloit, Wisc.
