Idaho Steelhead and Salmon Unlimited has teamed with local fly shops Lost River Outfitters, Ketchum on the Fly, Silver Creek Outfitters and Sturtevants Mountain Outfitters for a weekend of fish eating, tying flies to catch them with and casting clinics, to raise funds to help keep Idaho rivers stocked.

Special guest instructor April Vokey will be on hand for a meet-and-greet beginning at 6 p.m. Friday night, June 8, at a kickoff party for the weekend event, called the Ketchum Cast Away and Fly-tying Festival.

The public is invited to attend and enjoy a feast of barbecue items, listen to a talk by Vokey and enter a raffle for prizes. There is a $10 suggested donation at the door.

"We're lucky to have her as both a personal and an industry friend," said Jason Roth, one of the organizers. "She's a tireless advocate, a talented starlet/icon of the industry and an ever-likeable, patient and honorable course instructor."

From Saturday through Monday, June 9-11, there will be a number of clinics offered for kids, women only and co-ed anglers for casting and fly tying with Vokey and Rick Williams.

Some classes are already full, so call for information to Paul at 720-7778 or Jason at 720-1256.
