Bellevue man treated after crash

Accident in Hailey still being investigated

A 42-year-old Bellevue man was treated and released at St. Luke's Wood River after being injured Thursday afternoon in a one-vehicle crash on state Highway 75 in southern Hailey.

Hailey police identified the man as Jeffrey Browne. He was taken to the hospital by Wood River Fire & Rescue ambulance.

Police Chief Jeff Gunter said the accident occurred around 3 p.m. about 500 yards south of the highway intersection with Woodside Boulevard. Gunter said Browne, northbound in a silver 1991 Ford Explorer, ran off the east side of the road, crossed the bike path and a small canal, crashed through fences and trees and came to a stop after hitting two parked vehicles, pushing one of them into a building.

"There was some kind of medical condition," Gunter said in describing the reason for the crash.

Gunter said Monday that the accident is still under investigation.
