A 50-year-old Idaho Falls man, injured in a motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon near Carey, was listed in fair condition Monday at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.

The Blaine County Sheriff's Office identified the man as Ronald Adams. Sheriff Gene Ramsey said Adams was initially transported to St. Luke's Wood River south of Ketchum and from there flown by emergency helicopter to Idaho Falls. Ramsey said Adams suffered a "small hemorrhage on his brain."

Ramsey said the accident occurred at about 2:15 p.m. on U.S. Highway 20 about five miles east of Carey when Adams, westbound on a 2004 Victory Kingpin, attempted to slow down and locked up his brakes. He said the motorcycle swerved to the side of the road, where Adams was thrown over the handlebars. He said the motorcycle continued an end-over-end flip for about 145 feet.

The sheriff said Adams was not wearing a helmet.

Ramsey said Adams was part of a motorcycle group from Idaho Falls in which a second rider with the group was killed later Saturday in a collision with a truck in Lincoln County.

Idaho State Police reported that Jan Boline, 43, of Idaho Falls, died in that accident. It occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on U.S. Highway 93 just east of Richfield. ISP reported that Boline, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash after she collided with a semi tractor-trailer driven by Goran Mandura, 46, or Twin Falls.

ISP reported that Boline, westbound on a 2003 black Harley Davidson, "lost control of the motorcycle, crossed into the opposite lane of travel and collided with the semi." The crash remained under investigation Monday.
