Coldwell Banker Distinctive Properties of Ketchum has acquired the Aston Hotels & Resorts vacation rental and homeowner association management operations in the Sun Valley area.

The addition of about 100 area units, ranging in a variety of prices and sizes from a studio to a 13-bedroom estate, gives Coldwell Banker Distinctive Properties more than 250 units under its management care.

Coldwell Banker Distinctive Properties employs 13 people who specialize in  high-end concierge, property management and rentals. The company, which serves the resort communities of Vail and Steamboat Springs in Colorado as well as Sun Valley, joined the Coldwell Banker brand in 2010.

Aston Hotels & Resorts is an operating business of Interval Leisure Group, a publicly traded global provider of membership and leisure services to the vacation industry. Aston manages more than 4,300 units around the country.

"This is really a win-win for everyone involved," said Todd Conklin, chief executive officer of Coldwell Banker Distinctive Properties. "Bringing the management of these wonderful properties back to a locally owned and operated company is a boost to our local economy, and we are thrilled that Aston trusted in us to deliver for their clients in Sun Valley."

Aston, based in Hawaii, acquired the Sun Valley operations from Premier Resorts International in October 2009.
