Graduates to talk about their projects

Presentations at Community School this week

Twenty-seven Community School graduating seniors are giving oral presentations of their senior projects through Friday, May 18, in the theater at the Sun Valley school.

Subjects of the talks run the gamut from modeling in Manhattan to Brazilian dancing, the journey of the salmon, soldiers in wartime, marine life and exploring national parks.

In addition to this week's presentations, the public can view images of various projects during the Saturday, May 26, Gallery Walk in Ketchum. Hosting the presentation will be Sun Valley Sotheby's International Realty at 291 N. Main St., Ketchum.

Here's a list and approximate starting times of this week's presentations, including the projects already given. The public is invited to attend:

( Wednesday, May 16: 1:50 p.m. Reta Flynt on underwater photography; 2:10 p.m. Gray Riedinger on the "Band of Brothers"; 2:35 p.m. Hailey Rheinschild on ocean tourism; 3 p.m. Averell Tian on Majulah Singapara urban planning; 3:25 p.m. Alyssa Corrao-Bal inside the music industry; and 3:50 p.m. Josie Bunce on "The Science of the Delicious."

( Thursday, May 17: 1:50 p.m. Morgan Jones' re-purposed clothing project; 2:10 p.m. Isobel Pollock on Brazilian dancing; 2:35 p.m. Jesse Knori on living with rheumatoid arthritis; 3 p.m. Eric Runkel on "Paging Dr. House"; 3:25 p.m. Margaret Pope on the River of No Return; and 3:50 p.m. Camille Bourret on discovering her Central American roots.

( Friday, May 18: 1:50 p.m. Morgan Roudabush on "The Jump to the Top: What it Takes"; 2:10 p.m. Cooper Hanley on "Wrangling Texas"; 2:35 p.m. Henry Rickbeil visiting a city that never sleeps; 3 p.m. Barrett Brown on visual storytelling; and 3:25 p.m. Meredith Pintler on "Through the Lens: More than Meets the Eye."

( Monday, May 14: Colin Waycott and Will Brokaw on exploring the Channel Islands; Gabi Perenchio on trekking; and Noe Garing on recreating her grandfather's war journey.

( Tuesday, May 15: Katie Dumke's time lapse of a day in Europe; Tom Crosby on U.S. national parks; Sophia Carkonen on modeling in Manhattan; Morgan Atkinson on a salmon's journey; Cassidy Carson on Hawaii's underwater world; and Tim Kanellitsas on Peru's food and culture.
