A 40-year-old Carey man faces a misdemeanor DUI charge after he allegedly rolled his vehicle early Sunday morning on Gannett Road, south of Bellevue.

Blaine County Sheriff Gene Ramsey identified the suspect as Joseph Woodside. Ramsey said Woodside was also charged with the misdemeanor crime of driving with an open container of alcohol.

Ramsey said Woodside was southbound in a blue 2007 Honda Civic when he lost control of the vehicle at about 12:40 a.m. near the intersection of Gannett Road and Fourth Street in Gannett.

"He went off the right shoulder, overcorrected, which caused loss of control, and overturned," Ramsey said.

The sheriff said Woodside was taken into custody after being evaluated at the scene of the accident by a Wood River Fire & Rescue ambulance crew.
