Warmth and unrest

I'm loving the April warmth, aren't you? These 60-degree days make us all remember why we chose to live here. We can walk on the bike path, get seated right away at our favorite restaurants, drive on dry pavement, watch baseball at night, bid "bon voyage" to friends going on vacation and finally take care of the dreaded taxes for the year. It's a time for planting gardens and planning the summer vacation, an opportunity for hope and saving money for this year's emergencies. Certainly not a time for unrest—is it?

Well, consider some of our neighbors whose mortgages are in trouble. Remember the families of the county who are buried in debt. Think of those friends who are seriously ill and have to realize that the end of their lives is imminent. Oh, there's unrest in our community.

I hope the coming months bring warmth to us all.

Nice talking to you.
